Three Australian engineers – David McGrath, Brian Connolly and Marcus Altman – formed a new enterprise to develop advanced digital signal processing applications. Founded in 1990, Lake’s name has its origin in Australia and in 2008 acquired by Lab Gruppen.

Lab Gruppen secured exclusive access to the source code and algorithms for these markets that are at the heart of the DLP, Powered Loudspeaker Management (PLM) and stand-alone Lake Products.
